Dr. Fields is a licensed psychologist who earned a doctorate from The University of Akron in Counseling Psychology. Previously she obtained a B.S. in Psychobiology from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA and an M.S. in Organizational and Human Relations Management from Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. Her pre-doctoral internship was at Lancaster General Hospital in the Department of Behavioral Medicine & Neuropsychology in Lancaster, PA. She has training in neuropsychological assessment, behavioral approaches to managing chronic pain, rehabilitation psychology, and adjustment to disability.
Dr. Fields has specific interests in invisible disabilities, autism spectrum in adults, dementia and memory impairment, and psychological factors in geriatric health. From a clinical psychology perspective, her interests include helping people manage anxiety disorders, overcoming stress reactions and trauma histories, and teaching patients ways of coping. She comes from a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) treatment perspective. However, she has been training in and uses Dialectical Behavior Therapies (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for behavioral pain management, and Exposure and Repression procedures for OCD
